WHERE THE WILD LIGHT LINGERS

Let’s pick flowers, follow the sun & meet me in the garden

A perfect dance between introspection and lightness, like a hazy summer memory that sits somewhere between reality and dream. For this collection, my intention was to create works which hum with quiet joy, paired with slightly moody, earth-rich tones. A vibe leaning into something both cinematic and poetic, like an A24 film scored by soft folk guitar.

A soft reverie through tangled gardens and golden hour skies, Where the Wild Light Lingers is a love letter to fleeting moments, warm grass under bare feet, the hush before a summer storm, wildflowers gathered from the forest floor by hand.

Each piece moves like a folk melody, moody yet hopeful, tender and untamed. There’s a quiet cinematic quality here, where memory and imagination blur.

Inspired by indie music and dreamlike-rich-in-colour film stills, this collection captures the kind of light that finds you in the most unexpected moments and places.

This collection is likely to be an ongoing, open piece of work… its the kind of magic that happens when the mood is just right and I want to stay open to that, for the invitation for creation to always be there.

LET’S PICK FLOWERS
Deep, grounded green pulling through, layered with the softest dusk mauves and ochre-washed blushes. It feels like movement through tall grass, stained fingertips, the hush of something shared without speaking. This piece carries the feeling of a slow wander… hands brushing past tall grass, petals collected like secrets, the warmth of late light stretching across your skin. Let’s Pick Flowers is both an invitation and a memory: of afternoons spent gathering beauty without hurry, of laughter carried on the breeze, and wild things left unspoken.

With rich moss greens, soft petal tones, and sun-warmed earth beneath it all, this work holds space for both nostalgia and play. A moment of stillness. A pause in motion. A love note to the wild.

MEET ME IN THE GARDEN
There’s a quiet invitation in this piece, to step barefoot into wildness, where the light filters through leaves and the air smells of memory. Meet Me in the Garden captures a fleeting moment: soft blooms in shadow, sun-warmed earth, and that stillness you find when time feels suspended.

A moody palette of moss, mauve, and sun-stained ochre speaks to afternoons spent gathering wildflowers, lost in thought, wrapped in golden silence. It’s a love letter to nature’s quieter places, and the ones we long to share them with.

BENEATH THE PINES

This piece hums with quiet shelter. Lavender-shadowed light, softened blue, grounding greens. It feels like stepping into a forest cathedral: still, fragrant, deeply personal.

There’s a hush that settles in the understory… the kind of quiet that makes you listen differently. Beneath the Pines captures sacred stillness: dappled light on skin, the scent of earth and resin, a moment suspended in soft shadow.

Lavender and slate tones meet grounding greens and soil-warm browns, evoking the hush of a forest afternoon where thoughts slow and senses sharpen. This piece is an ode to sanctuary, the kind you find not in grand places, but in the gentle shelter of trees.

FOLLOW THE SUN

A glow from within. Buttery ochre paired with lavender and sage feels like a day slipping toward golden hour. A moment on the cusp of light, not loud, not rushed, just quietly radiant. A quiet warmth moves through this piece, like chasing light across a field, letting it kiss your shoulders and guide your way home.

Follow the Sun is a soft unfolding, an ode to the slow arc of the day and the comfort found in letting yourself be led by beauty.

With sun-glazed amber, petal mauve, grounding greens and shadowed plum, it evokes the feeling of moving through nature with nowhere to be, but present. A gentle reminder that light is always shifting — and so are we.
